3D Raised Logo Printing with UV DTF Technology

Create premium embossed logos for apparel using multi-layer UV printing. By repeatedly building white ink layers, then adding CMYK color and varnish, the finished logo develops visible height, a glossy surface and a tactile 3D feel.

Production Process

How 3D Raised Logo Printing Works

The full workflow combines UV printing, contour cutting and heat transfer. The 3D structure is formed during the printing stage before the finished badge is transferred onto the garment.

PASSO 01

Prepare Design

Create the logo artwork and define the raised graphic areas.

PASSO 02

UV Print

Build multiple white layers, then print the CMYK design and varnish.

PASSO 03

Contour Cut

Use a contour cutter to cut around the finished logo shape.

PASSO 04

Trasferimento di calore

Transfer the finished logo onto the garment at approximately 170°C for 10 seconds.

Multi-Layer UV Printing

White Ink Builds the Height. Color and Varnish Finish the Surface.

The main technical difference in 3D raised logo production is the use of repeated white ink passes. Instead of using white only as a normal backing layer, white ink is printed multiple times to physically build the raised structure.

01

Multi-Layer White Ink

Repeated white layers create the physical thickness and embossed foundation.

02

UV Color Ink

CMYK prints the visible logo artwork over the built-up structure.

03

Vernice

Clear varnish provides the distinctive glossy finish and enhances depth.

Transfer the Finished Badge onto the Garment

After printing and contour cutting, the finished raised logo is positioned on the garment and transferred with a heat press.

A typical reference setting for this application is:

170°C

Reference heat-press temperature.

10 Seconds

Reference transfer time.

Even Pressure

Use consistent contact across the complete badge area.

Production settings should always be verified with the actual film, adhesive system and garment material before batch production.

Performance

Built for Real Apparel Use

The raised structure is designed not only for appearance, but also for daily textile applications.

01

Flex Resistant

The badge can flex with normal garment movement when the correct materials and transfer conditions are used.

02

Wash Resistant

Proper printing, curing and heat transfer help maintain adhesion through normal garment washing.

03

Abrasion Resistant

The finished raised surface is suited to apparel and accessory applications exposed to routine handling.

3D Raised Logo Printing FAQ

Common questions about producing embossed textile badges with the EraSmart A2 UV DTF Printer.

How is the raised 3D effect created?

The main height is created by printing white UV ink multiple times. These repeated white layers build the structure before CMYK color and varnish are printed on top.

Is the 3D raised logo printed directly onto the garment?

No. The badge is first produced with the UV printing workflow, then contour cut and heat transferred onto the garment.

What products can the 3D raised logo be used on?

Typical applications include caps, hoodies, sweatshirts, T-shirts, sports jerseys and other compatible textile products.

What heat-transfer settings are used?

The reference setting for this application is approximately 170°C for 10 seconds. Final settings should be tested using the actual garment, film and adhesive system.

Is the finished badge washable?

The application is designed for apparel use and can provide wash resistance when the correct ink, film, curing and heat-transfer process are used. Production samples should be wash tested before bulk manufacturing.

Is it flexible?

Yes. The finished raised badge is intended to retain dimensional appearance while allowing normal flexing associated with textile products.

What is the difference between this and a UV DTF crystal label?

The printer platform can be the same, but the consumables and final application are different. Crystal labels focus on glossy decorative hard-surface use, while 3D raised logos use a dedicated ink and film system designed to create height and transfer onto textiles.

Which A2 UV DTF printer configurations support this application?

The available configurations include a single angled I3200HD printhead, a single angled DX7 printhead and dual XP600 printheads.
